Hersband and Wife Background Story:
This duo has a "HERstory" that is as diverse as the questions that land in their inbox. This history and their love is what binds them together and helps them relate to their readers and help others to help themselves.
Hersband, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree then furthered her studies at New York University with a triple masters in English, English Ed, and Educational Theater. After a stint acting in New York Hersband decided to return to her home state of Connecticut to pursue other interests. Her passion for life and life experiences has led her from the stage, as an actor and comedienne, to backstage where she delved into theatre lighting and then onto becoming a stylist and owning her own salon. With Hersband & Wife, Hersband enjoys using her education and comedic skills to serve the GBLT community with compassion, a solid political stance, and an infectious "guess what I'm up too" grin.
The early 1990's found Wife thrust into a hetero existence when she married her best (male) friend to satisfy a great internal drive to have kids. With two beautiful children in tow Wife was struck with breast cancer. As a graduate of Northeastern University, with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, she understood, after many years in the medical field, that she was in for a fight. She fought and she conquered! Having a new lease on life she intended to live it to the fullest. Wife decided to go back to work in medicine but this time she chose veterinary medicine where she found her career home and her true love...
Is that the whole story? Nah!
After a chance meeting in Wife's office Hersband & Wife became the best of friends yet didn't become a couple until late the following year after Wife's separation from her Husband. Months later, on a bright Tennessee day in April, Wife's Husband moved out and Hersband moved in. The couple settled comfortably into family life and were happy in their respective day-to-day until a serious car accident ended Hersband's career. Out of love and necessity Wife decided that she and Hersband were already writing online blogs and giving relationship advice to their friends why not take it seriously? So the rest, as they say, is "herstory", now dubbed Hersband & Wife the grass roots duo was born.
H&W began with $100, 2 laptops, and Hersband's good butch perspective paired with Wife's humble opinion as a femme. H&W has grown into an internet phenomenon with their blogs & vlogs garnering over 3 million web hits per month. Because all their work comes from the heart, the abilities of this couple are boundless.

Through heartwarming Blogs and humorous anecdotal Vlogs H&W became an overnight grassroots internet sensation with web traffic in March 2007 breaking through the 3 Million mark.
